Now the Jaguar XF is coming out of warranty we are starting to see some common complaints. We can offer cost affective repairs compared to the Jaguar dealer, as well as more competitive servicing costs.
The common complaints seem to be heavy tyre wear and front sidelight failure. Our servicing charges are under half the dealers charge.
Due to the increase percentage of diesel Jaguars being sold in the last few years our York workshop has seen a huge increase in diesel related fuel & engine problems. Due to these Jaguars becoming older, and having a higher mileage common failures include:

Most components involved in the repair of these Jaguar fuel systems are expensive, so we have to make sure we get the right diagnosis, which takes time and the right equipment, which we are proud to say we have.
Jaguar service history updates
Jaguar has changed the way that service history updates work for new vehicles purchased on or after the 1st July 2013. Jaguar will no longer provide paper service booklets, therefore from this date your service data will be held on a digital service book. Customers will of course be able to access their service history online, however only franchised Jaguar dealers or accredited specialists (i.e. ourselves) will be able to update your service history online.
Online Service Book (OSH)
The new and confusing Online service books (or "OSH" as they are often referred to as) are sweeping across the motor industry with no exceptions to JLR, the Jaguar Land Rover group. The concept is the next step in technology and eradicates the age old problem "where's my service book? I know I put it somewhere safe" - something we are all familiar with. Well now it's one less thing to worry about because at Big Cat Garage we're accredited and validated by Jaguar Land Rover, this means we can access and update your online service history (OSH), taking the stress out of servicing.
